Soft Light - This would be a good starting set up not too much shadow it looks relatively bright and airy this is the sort of set up that might be used for a beauty shoot, very flattering light, smooths wrinkles etc.

Hard light - Almost the same light position but with reflectors rather than diffusers, really starts to pick out the wrinkles and any skin imperfections in my face.

Hard light with more shadow on one side - Slightly different light position to create more shadow on one side of the face, still hard showing wrinkles etc - for me this is good lighting for the after shots, dramatic but not OTT

Hard light with more shadow - Way more shadow………..dramatic but maybe a bit too much for what we are trying to achieve.
